A Father's Day Surprise Home Office

He works hard, the kind of hard that doesn't stop at 5pm. His wife and kids wanted to give him something he'd never ask for himself: a real space to focus, away from the noise, somewhere that felt like his. They had an unused spare bedroom and a deadline that mattered more than any other: Father's Day. She reached out in April with one goal: finished and ready to reveal by Father's Day in mid-June. That meant moving fast, finalizing the design, sourcing and ordering furnishings with enough lead time to arrive, and managing every detail without him catching on. At the heart of the design was one non-negotiable centerpiece: Theodore Roosevelt's "The Man in the Arena," the words that have quietly defined his work ethic for years. Finished, furnished, and ready exactly on time. What used to be an empty spare bedroom is now the office he didn't know he needed, earned the way he's earned everything else. A Father's Day gift that wasn't wrapped in paper, but in peace and quiet, good light, and a quote on the wall that says exactly who he is.

A Mountain Retreat Bedroom

A stunning metal wall piece walked through the door and the entire room clicked into focus. That single piece became the creative anchor for everything that followed: warm tones, rich textures, and materials that felt layered and intentional. Working within a $14,000 budget and designing around 12-foot ceilings, we sourced quality furnishings worthy of the space. A poster bed scaled to own the room, a wood accent wall for warmth and depth, and textured finishes throughout to bring that mountain lodge feeling from floor to ceiling. A bedroom that finally lives up to its architecture. Warm, dramatic, and deeply personal, with ceilings that no longer go unnoticed and a space that stops you the moment you walk in.

A Laundry Room That Finally Works as Hard as the Family Does

This laundry room saw constant traffic and constant clutter. With no dedicated storage and nowhere for everyday essentials to go, mess piled up fast. The family wanted to keep their washer and dryer but everything around them needed to work harder. We started with Wander, presenting a handful of design directions for the family to react to. They were drawn to a warm textured look: wood tones paired with brick accents, cozy rather than purely functional. With the vision locked in, the project moved into Arrive at $11,500. A designated space to hang dry delicates, a built-in pull-out drawer for garbage, and real adequate storage for everything that used to have nowhere to go. A laundry room that finally matches how much the family uses it. Warm, organized, and built for real life, with a place for everything and nothing left sitting out.

A Mid-Century Modern Family Room

They had a family room with potential and a feeling they couldn't quite put into words. Rather than guess, they started with Wander: four designed iterations to react to, no commitment required, just clarity. Four design directions. One clear winner. They gravitated immediately toward a mid-century modern aesthetic anchored by a rich leather sectional sofa, a custom built-in media wall with cabinetry, and warm tones that made the space feel curated without feeling precious. Seeing it rendered gave them something they didn't have before: a vision they could point to and say "that one." With the design deliverable in hand they now have a roadmap and a number to work toward. A project of this scope with our team handling the full build comes in at approximately $25,000 for the Arrive package. They're planning their budget now and when they're ready, we pick up exactly where we left off. Their Wander investment applies toward the upgrade, not a dollar lost. A Clutter-Free Scandinavian Home Office

Our client knew her home office wasn't working: too much stuff, cords everywhere, zero breathing room. What she didn't know was how to describe the style she actually wanted. She had a feeling, not the words for it. That's exactly what Wander is built for. We had her take our design style quiz and within a few questions a clear direction emerged. From there we built out several design iterations until she found the one that felt right: clean, comfortable, and Scandinavian at its core, with playful pops of color and a handful of plants to bring it to life. She's taking the DIY route, giving herself about a year to save up and bring the design to life on her own timeline. For reference, if she upgrades to Arrive, a full build including a custom built-in wall desk runs approximately $15,000. And since her Wander investment applies toward the next package, she wouldn't be starting from scratch: just picking up where she left off. What started as an overwhelming cord-tangled space now has a name, a mood board, and a plan. Sometimes the hardest part isn't the budget. It's knowing where to start. Now she does.

An Elephant Inspired Safari Great Room

This family lives in their great room, and they wanted it to show. With multiple safari experiences under their belt and a deep love of elephants, they knew the direction, they just needed someone to bring it to life around the statement piece she had already found: a stunning elephant wall decor that became the soul of the entire room. We designed the entire room around that one piece. A warm, safari inspired palette with rich textures, natural tones, and furnishings that felt well-traveled and collected rather than catalog-perfect. Working within a $10,000 budget we identified everything the room needed: a new sofa, tv console, wood accent wall, area rug, and carefully chosen decorative accents that honored the theme without overdoing it. Rather than handing her a single shopping list, we built her a curated shopping page with direct links for every item, giving her the flexibility to make choices that fit her budget in real time. The sofa options included both a leather and a non-leather version, so if leather pushed the budget, she had a beautiful alternative ready to go without sacrificing the look. The wood accent wall treatment is being bid out separately and is planned to kick off this summer, bringing the final design element to life and completing the room exactly as envisioned. A great room that finally reflects the family who lives in it. Warm, layered, and full of the stories they have brought home from the places they have been, anchored by the elephant piece that started it all.

A Harry Potter and Whiskey Sitting Room

Not every room needs to whisper. Some rooms need to say exactly who you are the moment someone walks through the front door. This client knew what she loved: Harry Potter, a fine pour of whiskey, and a place to display the keepsakes that tell her story. She just needed someone to help her see it before she built it. We leaned all the way in. Dark, moody tones straight out of the wizarding world: deep greens, rich wood, leather, brass accents, and the kind of warm amber lighting that makes a whiskey glass glow. Built-in shelving to house her HP collection and keepsakes with intention, a bar cabinet worthy of her collection, and enough personality to make every guest stop in their tracks before they even take their coat off. The Wonder package gave her exactly what she needed: a design she fell in love with and a curated shopping list of up to 20 sourced items so she knows precisely what to buy, where to find it, and how it all comes together. No guesswork, no second guessing a paint color at 11pm. They are DIYing, on their own timeline, with a clear roadmap in hand. And if they ever decide they'd rather hand it off, their Wonder investment carries forward toward Arrive. Not a dollar lost. A sitting room that announces exactly who lives here. A Family Room Stepping Out of the 90s

The bones were solid. The stone fireplace, the dark cherry wood trim, the built in media center: all of it well made and well loved. But what worked beautifully in the 90s had run its course and the family was ready for something lighter, cleaner, and a little more them. The goal wasn't to gut the room, it was to evolve it. Keep the furnishings they loved, honor the architecture already there, and find a way to bring the whole space forward without starting from scratch. That kind of restraint takes just as much design thinking as a full renovation. We started with Wander, presenting design directions that worked with what they had rather than against it. The direction they chose softened the heaviness of the stone and dark cherry with lighter tones, clean lines, and updated window treatments that brought in more natural light. A refreshed media center and fireplace surround tied the room together with a cohesion the space had been missing. This one is just getting started. What began as a Wander project is blossoming into a full Arrive package, with construction planned to kick off soon. The design is locked, the vision is clear, and the room that has been waiting thirty years for its next chapter is finally about to get it.
